May 10, 2018 | By Jessica Lillian

  • The second day of SiriusDecisions Summit 2018 brought a full day of keynote presentations and specialized track sessions for every b-to-b role
  • Delegates enthusiastically tweeted their takeaways and reactions throughout the day, and we’ve rounded up the top tweetable moments
  • Keep watching the official SiriusDecisions blog for full-length recaps of the most buzzworthy Summit keynote sessions
This year’s streamlined SiriusDecisions Summit schedule – designed to give attendees across b-to-b sales, product and marketing everything they need in a convenient three-day event – translates into busy days at Mandalay Bay – and on Twitter! From the analyst keynotes covering the most important b-to-b topics to the client presentations that wowed the crowd, the second day of Summit delivered no shortage of tweet-worthy takeaways. Narrowing down the day’s events to just four top moments proved difficult, but here’s our take on what had everyone talking in Las Vegas.

1. Platon

The noted photographer – best known for his iconic portraits of numerous U.S. presidents and other world figures – captivated the audience during his afternoon keynote. With larger-than-life images of his work as a stage backdrop, he imparted universal life lessons that delegates can carry with them far beyond Summit.

2. New models galore!

It wouldn’t be a Summit without fresh new models and frameworks springing forth from the brilliant minds of the SiriusDecisions analyst team – the culmination of nearly a year of brainstorming, data-crunching, debating and perfecting. As the results of this work were released to the world, attendees were quick to take note of the ideas they’ll be bringing back to their teams once Summit ends.

3. Real talk on artificial intelligence.

Are robots coming for your job? Artificial intelligence’s promise (along with its potentially ominous power) make it a frequently discussed subject among b-to-b marketers these days. Kerry Cunningham and Monica Behncke cut through the hype in their keynote presentation, describing four types of AI that can have demonstrable impact on the revenue engine.

4. The secret to an authentic brand.

First, the bad news: Many modern b-to-b brands fail to inspire their buyer and customer audiences, noted Julie Ogilvie and Lisa Nakano during their keynote. The good news is that by recognizing the interconnectedness of brand, customer experience and employee engagement, organizations can strengthen their brand and truly connect with their customers.

Summit rolls on for one more day tomorrow! Whether you’re in attendance in Las Vegas or wishing you could be there, be sure to check out siriusdecisions.com for more recaps and follow #SDSummit on Twitter for the latest event buzz.
